The West’s New Puppet: Why They’re Grooming Ukraine’s Nazi-Tattooed General

It’s hard to keep up with the absurd theatre of the Ukraine war, but The Guardian has just pulled back the curtain on the West’s next act: backing far-right ex-general Valery Zaluzhny to take over from Zelensky.

The same man photographed with Nazi-linked tattoos is now being primed—quietly, of course—to step in and become the “legitimate” face of Ukraine. Because the current one, let's be honest, is finished. Not just constitutionally expired, but internationally disgraced, internally hated, and politically toxic.

The West knows it. So does Russia. Even Lavrov said it outright: peace talks require a real counterpart—not a puppet clinging to power past his legal term.

Yet instead of pushing for real democracy or actual reform, Washington’s answer is to replace one puppet with another—this time, one acceptable to Ukraine’s entrenched far-right factions. These are the same groups that prop up Zelensky with threats, pressure, and violence, and will do the same for Zaluzhny if he plays along.

Meanwhile, corruption in Kiev is now parody-level. The chief anti-corruption officer just bought a $1 million home in the U.S., reportedly under a front name—but his family lives there. You can’t make this up.

And while the Ukrainian economy drowns under debt (approaching 100% of GDP), Western elites—like Pete Hegseth—admit they’re skimming 10% off every arms deal. War is business. And business is booming.

Even Trump, “Mr. Peace Prize,” talks about stopping the war while U.S. weapons flow through Odessa at record volume. That’s “peace through strength,” apparently—code for profit through proxy death.

Russia, on the other hand, has repeatedly signaled willingness to negotiate. But with whom? A clown like Zelensky? Or a fascist like Zaluzhny?

This is the “democracy” the West is fighting for: unaccountable corruption, far-right militarism, and endless war—so long as the profits flow.
